....has been staring you in the face, *begging* to be noticed.
I was pitting cherries this afternoon, prepatory to making Himself's weekly lunch dessert (cherry crisp) and, as usual, I was chasing pits all over the kitchen about every third cherry when the light went on: why don't I, I say to myself, place a paper towel in a bowl and eject the pits into the bowl instead of the paper towel lying flat on the counter? Yumpin' Yimminee, plain as the nose on my face. And as an aside, every time someone finds out I actually pit cherries instead of using canned ones, they act absolutely bumfuzzled. Terry "Squeaks" Pulliam Burd -- "If the soup had been as warm as the wine, if the wine had been as old as the turkey, and if the turkey had had a breast like the maid, it would have been a swell dinner." Duncan Hines To reply, remove "spambot" and replace it with "cox" |
