I saw an ad for IHOP today - bacon and egg cheeseburger, "It's
What We're Known For".

Now I'm not so old that I don't remember that the "P" in "IHOP"
stands for "Pancakes", but I'm sure old enough to NOT remember
they have a "Bacon and Egg Cheeseburger".

I just don't see making a national commercial promoting it. Maybe
Lou and the rest of RFC unwittingly revived interest in the "Egg
on Burger" theme <shrug>

The first time I heard about an egg on a cheeseburger was about 10
years back. A restaurant in Toronto has (had?) it on the menu. They
call (ed?) it the Coronary.

The least that they could do, would be to show it as being cooked.

I have not had a egg toped hamburger but i do like a fried egg sandwich.
Usually with just a bit of catsup and mayo but i have gone all out
with a BLTA & fried egg on toast. And a fried egg in a grilled cheese
is good also.

A fried egg on a piece of buttered toast with some bacon and a bit of a
greek yogurt & cucumber sauce i make is a favorite.

Wasn't this just discussed at length within the past few months?

Now go troll the archives, and prove me wrong! I know you have
nothing better to do.

There was a discussion concerning egg on pizza. Don't remember one
concerning egg on a burger; at least not for a while.

Mix raw egg with raw meat, then grill/fry/etc.

Maybe the IHOP people saw the same show I did. I still don't get it.
