Strawberries have been showing up at the supermarket and the farmer's
market and seem to be getting both better and cheaper. Following a discussion with a friend I recently googled for what people add to strawberries. Not to make a new dish but to enhance the berries themselves. I was expecting sugar or balsamic vinegar or black pepper because that's what I've used in the past. I found a much wider range of things that I had never thought of before. Made me wonder what people's favorites are. I like the sound of gran marnier but haven't tried it yet. Clotted cream? Cointreau? -aem |
