What makes me think you've never tried this recipe?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katsuobushi

Do you really have a katsuobushi kezuriki?
Do you think Om has one?

It seems really odd that a recipe with soy sauce and Katsuobushi would
also call for a pinch of MSG. (*way* redundant)

You can buy Japanese rice "sprinkles" that has seaweed, Katsuobushi,
and sesame seeds. It's pretty good; you'd use it here before you roll
up the makizushi, unless you roll it with the rice on the outside.
HTH :-)

The only reason you think that is
you read the recipe. That's a lot
more than Stu ever did with it.

I *love* that stuff! I haven't thought of that in a long time.
My mother would buy it when she went to the Japanese
grocery. Usually it would be in a sort of pepper grinder looking
thing (but it was a sprinkler) and the 3 things were in different
chambers.
