Default A modern-day miracle: Spam for six weeks straight in Afghanistan

And the blue-tinned wonder food continues to amaze:

"An Army chef whose supply helicopter was shot down
by the Taliban devised an ingenious menu to feed frontline
troops for six weeks on a diet of nothing but Spam."

| LOL! Thanks for the lead.
|
| Now picking a nit, it seems Spam was the only meat item but other
| non-fresh items were available. (I'll eat SPAM every now and then.)

Excellent! I particularly appreciate the Daily Mail's inclusion of the Monty Python
skit, a distinct touch. The recipes: well, maybe some other day...

I wonder if he's related to Sheldon? <g>

I might have to play with it one of these days. Dad prefers the turkey

Spam: Pork and Ham. Just the thing to feed the troops in
a Moslem country.

Winning hearts and minds I'm sure.

No wonder we have been in there for nine years.
