Default Sydney fish and chips

I'm off to Sydney for a 'Boy's week' in May...... going to meet up with my
BIL and a couple of mates for a week of serious relaxing, eating, and
drinking.. and maybe a spot of adventure sports while we're there :-)

Anyhoo's...... I purchased some wine online and had it sent to my BIL's
house, so that I could have some decent wine while I was there, without
having to pay through the nose ($20-$30 per bottle) at the local bottle
shops. But I got carried away with the auction, and he ended up with 8
cases of wine, when I only want him to hold back about 1 and 1/2 cases.

He's as happy as a pig in s***, so has declared he's going to take me out
for some "original" fish and chips.

Seems we have to catch a boat to get to this place, and looking at the
menu, I think I might just persuade the BIL to take me to a local fish and
chippery!!

It's probably *great* fish and chips, and the view would be fantastic, but
between $36-$49 for a plate of fish and chips....... *NO WAY*!!!!!!

I'll just get him to take me to the Sydney Fish Markets and we can have
the same thing there for 1/2 the price.... and I can pick up some seafood
for my own provisions!!

Oh come on Morrow or whoever, stop posting as PeteyBoy and do something
creative on your own. Everyone knows PeteyBoy would never have sent wine
anywhere, or bought all of the ridiculous seafood in these ads...and nothing
about skydiving or armament or sewage treatments.
Show Petey some decency, please.
As Sheldumb would say: ahhahahahahahahahahagurglegurglegurgle....

You are more likely to 'Pay through the nose' for wine in Brisbane than you
will in Sydney, Peter....

By the way, I am leaving Sydney on Wednesday morning for your 'City of
Brisbane', Mate

Spoken like a true Sidneephile!! ;-P

Truth be told, I didn't want to spend too much time hunting around for
good wine/great bargains.

I've had it delivered to (my BIL's doorstep) and he'll deliver them to my
hotel :-)

You're more than welcome to come and sample some when I'm down there.

Great day to be travelling up to Brisbane!! There'll be traffic chaos in
the Valley area, leading over the Story Bridge, due to the St Paddy's day
festivities..... if you're going southside. If you're going west (as I
seem to recall you saying you had a kidlet out west somewhere... it
shouldn't be too bad.

So..... how long you staying??

Untill near the end of April, Peter.....And I may even extend it into the
first few days of May, but probably not!

Both my daughters and all the grandkids (4) have moved to
Brisbane...Brookfield.... My oldest daughter and husband have just purchased
their own property 2 months ago....6.8 acres...(not bad for a 20-25 min trip
into the Brisbane UBD)..... It has 2 houses on the property....a 5 bedroom
2 story Australian Colonial, built in the 70's and a separate brick cottage,
which was also built the same time..... In Sydney, a property so close to
the city, if one could be found, would cost millions...They paid a little
under a million for it!

My son, Timothy (27) has just returned from there after a 2 month stay
helping them move etc......

I buy my wine from 'Dan Murphy's' here in Sydney...Do you have them in
Brisbane as well as Sydney, Peter...Very cheap prices!... Owned by
Woolworths!

Excellent!! You'll be back in Sidiknee when I'm there (2nd week of May).

I knew it was one of those outlying suburbs....

Sounds like they got a great place at a great price, especially for the
acreage.

LOL!! Nice holiday :-)

Yeah, we have DM's here...... the closest one to Brookfield will be Middle
Park........

&store_result_index=0&clear_session=1

http://tinyurl.com/ykxtyww

I usually only use them when I go buy some 'secret stash' stuff for my mate
(so he doesn't cop any crap from his wife) and if I want some cold 'roadies'
while I'm travelling around with the SO chauffeuring me :-)

But if you want *cheaper* wine prices........ try

http://www.graysonline.com/Search.as...ype=auction&r=
199999.200139

http://tinyurl.com/ylj6a3n

I don't pay more than $60 for a case of branded, well known, wine..... and
that includes shipping to my door!!! Usual price I pay is $44-$59 per case
for the high end stuff, and down to $19-$29per case for lesser known wine....
delivery included.
