Yes - but PDX is an airport. If you mean Portland, OR, say
"Portland, OR."

When I saw the subject, I thought someone was looking for
advice as to what the best eatery was inside the terminal...

I would add Trianon to this list. My wife and I ate there awhile back
and it was excellent.

Go to e-Gullet's Pacific Northwest forum
http://tinyurl.com/6lele and
read some of the recommendations there. You can post, as well, but
you must become a member first (as you must to do a search, as well).
People there are very knowldgeable about the pdx scene. I always
trust Trillium's recommendations,--she used to post here though is
mostly active over there now.

Some suggestions I read and would one day like to try: clarklewis,
Paley's, Wildwood, Caprial's (She used to have a TV cooking show and
she used to annoy me, but I always though her food looked good).

It's kind of like NYC.

Yeah. Like LAX. Los Angeles International.

nancy (still surprised someone would think PDX would be as
recognizable as NYC or LA, or that they call themselves by their
airport designations, even)

Seems to me that what is sauce for the goose should be sauce for the
gander also.

Yeah, I've heard that. But I think out there it's just the first part
of the city name, LAXative. And we all know what that produces.

Thanks for the info, Rona.

Our dinner has been post-poned. I rushed to the ER Wed PM with severe
pain of unknown origin, and admitted so that they could yank my gall
bladder yesterday - huge stone stuck in my bile duct (no previous idea
that I even had one). I'm pretty sure I have pneumonia as well...so
I'll be out of commission for awhile. Pain meds are, however,
delicious...
