Nancy, you may remember that you and I were having the same problems some
time back; i.e., your posts didn't appear and other messages were missing. The Ranger suggested I switch to http://www.news.individual.net and I did. I'm very happy with it to date - it even filters out all the sleazy posts being put on all newsgroups. My ISP news server doesn't bother to do that. Dora |

It took them a few days for a "real person" to reply, but reply they did. I think they must establish that you're not a spammer, or something, before giving you access to the news server. After that, you set it up just like any other news server. Dora |

A 'spam proof' address is what I have. A person can determine the correct e-mail address but an automated 'collector' would get an invalid address. Semantics aside, both are against their rules. My comment is, if I complain (and no I won't, I'm just trying to make a point), you ARE breaking their rules and they CAN cut you off. Whether they will or not, I have no idea. I base this on their policy statement: Sender Address The e-mail addresses given in "From:", "Reply-To:", and "Sender:" should be your own and should be valid (= should not bounce because of invalidity). |
