Check your inbox on Thunderbird.

I finally got the newsgroups to work then the email stopped working! I
uninstalled and set up my email account again. It appears to be working
but with this nutty program I can't be sure.

The email I sent you just bounced back. Apparently it's not getting
past Westchester, PA. Maybe residual affects from the storm?

I have no idea what's going on.

Me neither. Weird about the mail bouncing, I do have other recent mail
in that inbox, but I don't know why those emails and not all my emails.
Of course, I need to look at my settings, but it's strange.

Many times in the past, Jill, I blamed problems on the program/software.
Eventually I fixed the problems and it was always ME not doing something
right. Keep at it and you'll eventually get it all working properly.

It's too bad developers can't make software that is understandable and
workable for the average user. I'm not even asking that it be idiot
proof, just not so opaque that it takes that long to figure out. Jill
used to work in IT and knows her way around a computer, so you can
only imagine how frustrating supposedly "easy to use" software is for
the rest of us.

Too true! I don't claim to have kept up with everything, but if you've
got the ports set correctly sending/receiving email shouldn't require
hours of checking and resetting things, or uninstalling and
reinstalling. The more they "improve" things, the worse it seems to get.
