All of them offer up great food, lots of booze and fun > people. The Greek Fest is F - U - N...went a few years ago when I was visiting. There is also the Veiled Prophet thing and the Soulard Mardi Gras. The Mardi Gras was always pretty fun (this was about ten or so years ago), but then apparently things started to get a bit out of hand (rowdiness - wise) I still have some beads from the times I attended.... The Halsted Street Fair is this weekend in Chicago. It's always a big deal, the nabe is packed (about a half mil usually show up for it, Halsted St. is closed from Belmont to Addison). It's the closest Chicawgo gets to a NOLA party vibe.... -- Best Greg |
