Okay this isn't exactly about cooking but I don't know where else
to ask the question. How do you remove those black streak marks that silverware leaves on dishes? Obviously not SOS! Nothing seems to work and I'm starting to think about using paint stripper or something but that's probably not a good idea. There must be a way to get those black marks off without harming the plates. Thanks. |

First test for abrasion in an inconspicuous spot like the bottom of the piece. Btw, those streaks are in all liklyhood made only by knives... do not use your finest formal dinnerware for serving steak or any other foods requiring heavy cutting, and even then invest in quality steak knives, they require less pressure therefore are far less likely to mark. ---= BOYCOTT FRENCH--GERMAN (belgium) =--- ---= Move UNITED NATIONS To Paris =--- Sheldon ```````````` "Life would be devoid of all meaning were it without tribulation." |

Seems like this would be a bit less "elbow grease" than the pencil eraser idea. Have a Merry Christmas. |

Then use the brush on it. Hope it works for you. Judy > > |
