First of all, thanks to everyone for all the prayers and good wishes.
Unfortunately Michael is being moved tomorrow to St.Anthony's Hospice,
here in St. Louis. He put up a good fight, but the doctors feel he is
ready to prepare for the end. They say at least 3-6 mos. As you can
imagine all our emotions are tied up in knots over this latest turn of
events.
You can send cards or letters to him c/o:

St. Anthony's Hospice
10016 Kennerly Rd.
St.Louis MO 63128
314-525-7360

It will be a few days before we can get a phone set up in his room, so
please be patient. Thanks again to everyone for all the wonderful
sentiment, it really means a lot.
We ask you now to focus on to helping Michael find a peaceful way to
heaven.

Damn. In the past years, Michael has been one of my favorites here on RFC.

Thank you for providing his personal information. How fortunate have I been to
know him here on RFC.

I'll be holding him as close in my thoughts. Over the years, The Dog always did
make me think - .and think some more, about stuff I didn't think about before.
Damn, I miss him so much. .

Please convey my best wishes for a peaceful and warm passing. It is my hope
that he is surrounded by the ones he loves and whom love him.

In recent years we have had the opportunity to personally experience the
warmth and understanding on hospice people. Generally they are wonderful
people who have very broad shoulders.

No matter how we think we are prepared we never are. The only thing we
really have the ability to do is to accept. After all life is a terminal
disease.

All the best,

Dimtiri

I'm very sad to hear this and my prayers go out to all of you. He is a very
special person. I so wish that he could have been able to visit with Margaret
and the others for the brunch.

Christmas is a time of miracles. We can all pray for one to the Creator in
behalf of Michael. I was bemoaning the goings on in my piddly life when I
hear this news, it makes all that we obsess over seem so trivial in light of
someone looking into the reality of death. I take comfort in the teachings
of my faith that says in heaven there will be a banquet table
prepared....imagine that, no lumps in the gravy, no oversalted side dishes,
no overcooked meats.....everything perfect. And the dinner
companions..........asking the Earl of Sandwich just what was on the
original, etc. with the Almighty Himself carving the meat, and each of us
getting our favorite slice.

Go with God, Michael. Know you are loved and you made a difference in a lot
of peoples' lives.

Damn!

I've come and gone over the years, but Michael was one that was always
a very kind and helpful person. I was actively praying for his
recovery. I'm am truly saddened by this news.

It's one gruesome thought, but maybe they cook in Heaven? 'cause
that's surely where he's going with all of the people pulling for him.
And I'm sure that he'd liven up their palettes.

THANKS for the address!

For those of you who haven't experienced Hospice, please know that Michael
will receive loving, respectful and dignified care from the staff and
volunteers of this incredible association. Kind thoughts to Michael and to
those who love him and will be with him as he leaves us.

Ellie,

Please accept my most sincere hopes and prayers for a reversal of Michael's
present condition. If that truly isn't possible, then my most sincere best
wishes for a comforting and peaceful ending. My sympathies to you and all
of Michael's family and his partner.

I know that Michael's presence will be greatly missed here on rfc, and
everywhere else he was known. His humor, wit, and sincerity has always
been a bright and positive note here.

Sincerely,
Wayne

Ouch. No amount of bracing really prepares you for this kind of news. I'm
sorry to hear this, but draw some happiness in the hope that he'll be
comfortable for the next few months.

Thanks, Ellie (and Sarah, of course) for corresponding his condition to us
over the past couple of weeks. I hope you and your family are doing as well
as possible.

On the bright side, he can finally meet Johnny Cash ;-)

Default Hospice Post re Michael a HOAX Michael - Dog30 - Hospice

Hi all,

When I saw the post about Michael being in a hospice, I noticed one lone
post saying that a friend of his had posted in another group saying it was
a hoax. Since I was extremely reluctant to believe this bad news I went
searching and in alt.true-crime (another group Michael frequented) found
that this post had been found to be a hoax. Michael is NOT going into a
hospice.

I wanted to make sure so emailed Sarah Monroe who had been posting updates
on Michael to r.f.c (she posts to alt.true-crime). She has confirmed that
it was a hoax posting, which she did not know had been posted to r.f.c as
well.

I didn't think at first to ask for permission to reproduce her email here.
I have since emailed back to her to ask this, but in the meantime her email
basically said that she was unaware of the hoax posting until she received
a whole bunch of emails from alt.true-crime readers. She checked with the
family, and definitely a hoax. Michael is actually doing not too bad for
what he's been through, and she mentioned they were hoping to take him out
of ICU today.

Let's just count our blessings, give thanks to Whom of What we believe
in and admit that we witnessed some kind of Miracle.

Let's not forget that Michael is still very ill and that we have to keep
hoping for his recovery.

Hang on in there, Michael!!!

It made no sense, medically. To discharge someone from the ICU to
hospice care happens, but not with a 3-6 month prognosis. More like less
than a week.

Ah hah! Now, this evil jackass's post pops up a few days late. Aol has
straightened itself out, I guess.

For everybody who has not heard, this is a forgery. Michael is doing very
well, for what he has gone thru.

Thanks for the reference. This whole thread came up today, thanks to the aol
gods that I have prayed to. LOL

I have known Michael (you-all notice he posts as dog30 now) for several years.
We have laughed together, cried on each others shoulders, bitched about life
and on and on. One thing I can assure you about Michael, if he knows it's
personal, wild hogs couldn't drag it out of him. Unlike some people who would
broadcast your business all over the internet.

Update on his condition follows in another thread.

BTW, Penmart01, Google is your friend.

I should have read further into the thread before conveying my condolences.
I am quite delighted to hear that Michael is indeed doing well.

It's really a shame that some people are so miserable that they have to try
to make others miserable as well. Karma will not be kind to this disgusting

I've not been reading these Michael threads but now they've gotten so pervasive
that there is not much else to read here anymore, so I thought I'd peep in
again. This entire group of threads about Michael seems very *Sicko* to me...
seems to have not a ring of truth to any of it... NONE... fercocktah reports
from posters who've not ever posted here previuously. I don't even think he's
ill, Michael is prolly just enjoying a couple weeks in Cancun. So, someone
gonna clue me in about who is this friggin' **** everyone is so enamoured of,
"Sicko Ellie"?
