Yup.I make 15 lbs of mashed potatoes the day before thanksgiving [I have
anywhere from 22-30 people over on T day] and store them in the fridge in a
jumbo ziplock bag.The potatoes go into my 6 1/2 qt crockpot around 10am on
high, and get stirred every 10-15 min.I try to serve the dinner around noon,
but the skin thieves [myself included] usually can't wait, so I serve around
11:30.

Yes. However, I would recommend testing the food temperature directly instead of
believing the manufacturer's claims. For example, I have a crock pot that supposedly
keeps the food at 150 F on the low setting. After testing it I found that
the actually temp is 120 F. Now when I use that crock pot as a warmer it gets
put away after 2 hours.

Never believe manufacturers or salespeople.
