Default Mainstay pizza stone

I got a holiday edition Mainstay brand *round* pizza stone for $9.99
about a month ago. Anyone knows about the quality? I feel the
surface (of mainstay one) not smooth and was going to put aluminum
foil when baking but now I saw review on Oldstone Oven brand and also
found a 10inx7in pizza stone for toaster oven for $16.99 at
fantesdotcom.

I prefer a rectangular one but either 14x 16 or 15x20 (of Oldstone
Oven) would be too big to keep it outside the oven. I don't want to
leave it in the oven because I use the big oven for storing my 2 big
frying pans from Calphalon - on ebought over 10 years agao and one
bought last year.

Any comment on Mainstay and Oldstone Oven pizza stone and also on the
10inx7in one for toaster oven?

On the front of the box of "mainstay" one- I saved it just in case, it
says "Firebricks duplicates..." and so I got my answer.

I can't comment on your brands. I use 6" square terra cotta tiles when
I bake bread. I put six in a rectangular patter on the rack. Works a
treat.
