I absolutely hate every frozen pizza I've ever tried.
Although many years ago when was living in So. Calif.
I used to buy a great frozen french bread pizza. Can't
remember the brand (it was *not* Stouffer's - it was about
100 times better!!!!). But every other frozen pizza I've
tried has this awful "frozen pizza flavor". I swear they
must add this "flavoring" to all frozen pizzas. I'm not
sure how to describe it but it's sort of a combination of
some sort of "artificial flavor" with some sort of "essence
of freezer burn" with who knows what else. No matter what
brand or what is on the pizza they all taste exactly alike
and they don't taste anything like a real, fresh pizza.

I actually find that odd because I've eaten other sorts of
frozen meals and stuff and most of them taste more or less
similar to their non-frozen but very *not* homemade brethren.
Although there are some other frozen foods, once in a while
that have an odd flavor that is similar to "frozen pizza
flavor". My best guess is that it is due to some sort of
additive that they use preserve the quality under the adverse
conditions of freezing. However, whenever I happen to have
leftover homemade or other fresh pizza and I wrap it up and
throw it in the freezer and then thaw and reheat months later
it tastes just fine and just as good as new.
