Actually, I could picture a garlic'd bagel and lox from in town, come to
think of it. It's been ages.

Om,

I don't know about "raw" but I'm all in favor of spinach! A big pile cooks
down to next to nothing in no time! YUM!

It's a frickin' damn blizzard here. Interstate highways 94 and 29 are
closed in all four directions. The wind is howling so loudly past my
windows that I had to turn up the radio to hear the news. I need
chili or bean soup or mashed potatoes and gravy . . . but got no
beans except one lousy can of butter beans. Couldn't get to the store
yesterday. Out of milk, no juice, no tomatoes, no ground beef. But
I've got some chicken thighs, got some potatoes, got celery & onions
so maybe I'm good to go!

Lynn in Fargo,

I'd suggest you hightail it outta town to Media, PA, but the prospects of
that don't sound likely.

Stay safe and warm in the meantime!

Keep your flashlight handy, etc., etc.!

Cool! That's not tedious.

I had Baja Fresh for lunch, I have been there a couple of
times recently. I like that place. Last time I had fish tacos,
this time I had a steak burrito. Tasty, and I like those salsas
and hot sauces they have on a bar.

Turkey sandwich in less than half of a LC pita with mayo and
lettuce. A few Thai spiced cashews. Thrilling.

TASTES GOOD!

NO, LESS FILLING!

NO, TASTES GOOD!

Have you ever tried a Joe's Special? Hamburger, eggs and spinach, all
cooked together. It's very good.

Lunch was a grilled cheese (on Dempster's Ancient Grains bread, with
Kraft singles and a little skim of butter on the outside) and a glass
of milk.

Hubby is getting a steak cooked with onions and mushrooms and some
roasted potatoes for supper. I think i'll eat the leftover rice dish
from last night (rice, peppers, carrots, onions, pineapple cooked in
pineapple juice and soy sauce... yum)

l, not -l,

Decisions, decisions!

I'll try all of that!

Definitely sounds nutritious and delicious!!!

Croissant definitely puts it in the big leagues of breakfast. Well, I mean
lunch. But I could mean dinner!

Heck I don't know. What time is it somewhere?

I'm in the mood for food!!!

Geez, it's only Tuesday, Andy. Where will you be by Friday?

Today's lunch will be grilled chicken mixed with brown rice and Asian
vegetables and lemon grass in a peanut sauce.

I've just been eating it almost every day now for awhile. <g> Along with
clearing out all the other beef (steaks) out of the freezer that I've
been needing to use before they get freezer burned.

Sounds wonderful. I've been wanting mexican for awhile now, so need to
come up with something home made and low carb to satisfy it. I'm
thinking I can do that with stuffed cabbage leaves, enchilada style.

That would work. :-) I've just been finding that cooking this baby
spinach ends up giving me cramps if I eat as much of it as I've been
consuming raw. It's kinda weird as you'd think the opposite would be
true!

I've been bringing leftovers in my lunch for a while now. Today was
chicken curry.

I ended up eating two slices of plain pizza from a local pizza joint
near my office for lunch today. Tomorrow is hot dog and bean day for
lunch at work. We all kick in a few dollars and two of my colleagues
cook up hot dogs on an electric grill and baked beans in crock pots.
There's also usually a cheese plate with crackers, soft drinks, and some
other munchies.

Sure. This was just a quick old thing. Speaking o' such, you can
make a nice club-type sandwich with guacamole instead of mayo.

Default Plans for lunch?

We had Cream of Cauliflower Soup that I pulled out of the freezer, we
did not eat lunch until after 3:00. We went to an Asian market, our
favorite one in Louisiana, and it was closed, so we had to search out
other Asian markets. We went to 4 of them, trying to find what we were
looking for. One of them had the words Asian Market, but all they had
inside was Indian food, they had a wonderful assortment of spices, I
have to say, but the store had no Asian food. Another store was Korean
and the next one was Japanese. We will have to make a trip back to
Houston to find everything we are looking for.

Words are tricky things. There are Certain Words that we aren't
supposed to use anymore. So now we have to call them "Asian". OK. No
biggy. But now, we are told that since India is part of Asia, that
Indian food is a kind of Asian food.
