Default Thanksgiving plans?

Yes, I know it's a bit early and this will exclude anyone who isn't an
American.

I don't know what we are doing this year. My dad is back in the hospital
with another brain bleed. He seems okay in that he was able to call my mom
this morning to tell her that it is still bleeding. But we feel pretty
helpless here. With Angela still having the whooping cough, we can not
visit the hospital.

So I don't know if we will be going to my mom's house or not. Sometimes she
just doesn't feel up to it.

If we don't go I will likely just get some things from Costco. Not sure how
much of it Angela and I can eat. They do have some good mashed potatoes
that are cheap. Yes they have dairy in them. We have been being very bad on
the dairy thing. I think they sell made up stuffing. Or I might just use
up the gluten free cornbread mix that I have and make stuffing out of it. I
think the mix is getting old.

We'll just keep it very simple if we do it at home. We are not big into
Thanksgiving. I think Angela and I like the mashed potatoes the best.
Husband likes the turkey legs. Husband and I do like the cranberry salad
that I make but Angela won't eat it. So I may or may not be making that.

Ah... The whole thing just is coming so quickly!

not sure what we aredoing, so much going on here and dh's back has been
playing up which limits travel... if i were at your house the menu would be
turkey legs for you r husband dressing made from that mix potatoes the
cranberry sauce and a raw veggie plate... maybe a baked sweet potato if you
guys eat that and a couple of cooked vegetables.

We don't eat cranberry sauce or sweet potatoes. I do have two free cans of
cranberry sauce but not sure what I'm going to do with it. I don't think my
mom will eat that kind. I could have used the coupon for the big name brand
and I may just do that on Friday if they have any more of those plates or
coupons. The coupon was for a can of free sauce when you bought paper
plates.

one thing about that sort of thing is the food pantries always want
thanksgiving items for baskets, so especially if you don't use it and it was
cheap free everybody wins...

Yeah. I might do that. I tried to explain it to my mom but she can be
quite dense of late when it comes to stuff like that. And I tried to
explain to Angela to get the other brand but she was sick and just wanted to
go home. The stuff she picked up was on a floor stack. The stuff that I
wanted was just a few feet away on the aisle but she wouldn't go there
because there was a man with a pallet right in front of it. And I couldn't
go there because I had a cart and couldn't get around the pallet.

Yeah? And get your purse snatched? I don't think so. I carry a huge
purse. It sits in the cart seat when I am shopping and I put my coupons on
it. I don't leave the cart for any reason. And it would have been too much
of a pain to pull out the purse and all the coupons and carry them. People
have also been stealing coupons. There have been several reports of entire
binders full of coupons being stolen at a couponing website.

Also, in case you've forgotten, I have difficulty walking very far without
the shopping cart.

Then why not ask the man with the pallet to hand you what you want?

I just wanted to leave and was too busy arguing with a sick child.
