First, I want all immigration limited. Perhaps to 100,000 per year of their "brightest and best". Now we are allowing almost a million per year of legal immigrants mostly third-worlders thanks to Ted Kennedy and his push to remove national quotas years ago. If you have any environmental concerns then you understand the growing problem. For years America has operated on a sort of economic/population-growth Ponzi scheme. Keep adding and selling! Hopefully, we can develope industries of a high technological type. We have enough "marginal" citizens who are not able to compete in such a society. The mestizo illegal alien has an group average IQ of about 87. The best plan for America would be to stabilize population, increase exports, and at the same time develope alternative sources of enegry. ted |

The mestizo > illegal alien has an group average IQ of about 87. the word 'mestizo' actually denotes a person of mixed blood, mixed european and American Indian ancestry. so then if I were going to use that word I'd take care to define the european as the illegal alien. using today's international war crimes tribunal I'd even go so far as to levy charges against the european for their genocidal policies towards the American Indian. IMO > > > >> The best plan for America would be to stabilize >> population, increase exports, and at the same time develope >> alternative sources of enegry. >> >> ted > >ted for king in 2012 <g> Jim, "mestizo" as understood in south and central America, including Mexico, refers to a spanish-speaking person of DNA, appx., 80% "indian", 10% european, and from 5 to 10% negro. The latter from the 500K negroes imported into the region. As to what happened to the native Americans we can do nothing at this time except give aid and encouragement. (First the reservation system caused additonal destruction now the excess casino income continues that work) You have the title of bill modifying immigration quotas correctly. But in the afterwash of the Kennedy killing Ted Kennedy became the measures spokesman. Immigration and the high birth rate of the mestizoes, legal and illegal, are the major factors in our population growth. As a kid I worked with the late Sen. Gaylord Nelson and Dave Brower, later being driving force i.e., Sierra Club. A topic of conversation was America's ideal population. Concensus at that time, 1970, was that it should be between 175 and 200 million. We cannot prevent others areas and nations to continue uncontrolled population growth. But we should consider America as sort of a nature preserve, an area in which the ideal balance is the goal. Mother Nature will eventually take care of surpluses. And if appointed King in 2012 I will accept graciously. ted |

First, imo you under-rate NC. It has enough going for it to be a destination of choice. "Escape" makes it sound like people move there out of desperation. As for forests being "mowed down", what do you suppose was growing on your soybean field 150 years ago? Most of the new housing is going up on farmland that was deforested for profit a long time ago. Actually, you "owe" some New Yorkers for saving the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and Slickrock Wilderness Area virgin forest. "In 1934, a New York chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars approached the federal government with a petition, requesting that the government honor Joyce Kilmer, a fallen comrade and fellow patriot with a suitable memorial. After discussing the petition with the government, it was decided that an appropriate memorial for the patriot poet would be a tract of virgin forest in the eastern United States. The U.S. Forest Service was assigned the task of finding a needle in a haystack. A rare jewel; tuck away deep in the far reaches of western North Carolinas mountain country. What they found was a virgin forest of giant trees just waiting to be saved. ... Today the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest and Slickrock Wilderness Area has grown to 17,013-acres spanning into two states, the majority of the steep forested mountains are in the Nantahala National Forest in Graham County, North Carolina." http://www.theblueridgehighlander.co...t/history.html <...> |
