Damn, dude! You need a maid!

And to think you didn't even think twice about posting a picture
like that says tons about what the rest of your house looks like.

I don't think that it is dirty..I think that is the composition of the
countertop. I have seen some like that.

It is Silestone Stellar Night. It is a quartz top that doesn't need
to be sealed like a granite or marble. I love it!!

Welcome to RFC, enjoy the "love."

At least some of us know what a black granite countertop looks like. Your
range burners look like you actually use them for cooking. But if you keep
posting on topic like that this wonderful close knit "community" is going to
rip your guts out. Maybe instead of cooking posts you can tell us what you
had for lunch at some dismal chain restaurant and how the waitperson didn't
give you lemon wedges with your iced tea? Those are always welcomed.

Damn...that was a good one Paul! I "thought" I was posting to
rec.food.cooking, not rec.food.wallfehouse!

I am on the road and do have lunch at many different restaurants. My
first requirement is cloth napkins. Homey don't do Krystal!
You must be from the "south" to know about that.

Actually, I have learned that you NEVER order a lemon wedge with any
beverage. Lemon wedges are never sanitary. Restaurant help have
been known to wipe their butt...then cut the lemon slices.

But on to more savory things. My kitchen is a working kitchen.
That means we are not set up for a Home and Garden photo shoot at any
moment. Thankfully, I do have a person coming in to help with
cleaning, but due to the current economic conditions, that is going to
be cut to less than three days. I just can't afford it any longer.
We enjoy good food....and when the kids and grand kids are able to be
here, a feast is in order.

Wishing you and your family a prosperous Happy Thanksgiving and a
Blessed Christmas and New Year.

Mr. Bill

Really? Do they come pre-grunged with flour spots all over them
like that? You'll see the same spots under the burners, on the
stainless steel, and on the toaster oven - along with a bunch of
other crud.

Some of us know what a counter top is *not* supposed to look like.
Granted - I don't clean up right afetr I make something, but he's
had plenty of time while those things have risen twice now and
baked. Not to mention that toaster oven... eeeek.

At first glance, there seemed to be some almond slivers there as
well. But pecans are good.
Luscious sticky buns are good. Your kitchen counter is pretty. Now,

Maxine...I don't post recipes any longer. I have posted some of the
best in this forum The Vicious Gang of Seven, (you know who they
are) have substituted ingredients, substituted procedures, changed
oven temps. and then have the balls to claim the recipe is crap.
Remember Carla's Macaroni Salad?

Homey don't play dat game no mo.

Oh...and by the way, the toaster is sparkling clean. The Silestone
Stellar Night pattern reflects and bounces off the quartz top when you
take a flash pic.

Now...HOW ON EARTH do you know what I know and when I learned this
knowledge? That is being a might presumptive nether part.

And what in the hell is "just recently" and "about a year ago". Those
periods can vastly span a great deal of time.

Flour is just so unsanitary - so gross! Imagine seeing flour after baking
something? And that does not look like flour, it looks like crystals
embedded in the countertop and they are being reflected in the restaurant
quality toaster oven. I dig this dude's equipment. So to speak.
