Actually she is not fearful of death - she is fearful of the process. I think that is fairly normal. Dimitri |

My great-grandfather (the one I knew - who lived next door to me) died in his sleep with his hands characteristically folded over his chest. One grandfather actually keeled over on his way to bed. It could be worse. Dying in a hospital with tubes everywhere is my worst nightmare. I will make sure the word *Hospice* is mentioned many times when my health declines. My mother had ovarian cancer (long sad story in between), but she took charge of her own death and didn't allow modern medicine to intervene. She did what her mother did - and if I need to, I'll do the same thing when the time comes. -- I never worry about diets. The only carrots that interest me are the number of carats in a diamond. I agree, Dimitri. Even at an age when I don’t “expect” to die soon, I am not afraid of being dead, but I am indeed fearful of the process of dying. When both my parents died they were in pain, my mother in particular. I think I fear pain and suffering the most. -- Wayne Boatwright (correct the spelling of "geemail" to reply) ************************************************** ********************** Date: Saturday, 11(XI)/15(XV)/08(MMVIII) ************************************************** ********************** Countdown till U.S. Thanksgiving Day 1wks 4dys 14hrs 19mins ************************************************** ********************** Not enough is said about the bad luck of the early worm. ************************************************** ********************** |
