60s is probably when they began boxing them up that way with
accessories, though it may have started earlier. You can buy the same
thing today, so the OPs could be only months old. There's no way to

The style suggests 60s-70s, to me. I bought one for my burgeoning vegetarian
niece over Christmas, and surely did not see any with those types of wooden
handles.

Yes, you're probably right. I missed the chinese box--and I see that there
are woks with handles like
this for sale, at the same place I got my niece's, only I did not see them
that day:
