They're a staple in my kitchen! I keep a bag of raw shrimp in the freezer --
they're quick to defrost, quicker to cook, and are fine on their own or in
minny, minny dishes.

Same here. I always have a bag of frozen shrimp on hand and eat them
frequently. There are so many different ways to cook them. I never buy them
pre-cooked If I want shrimp cocktail or peal and eat shrimp I will heat up
some water and add a bit of salt, pepper, carrot and celery to boil them
and then cool them off. I live them in stir fries, sautéed, on the BBQ,
with pasta ......

I had to laugh at my younger brother years ago. He hated shrimp. I don't
think he had never had them before, but he hated them. One night he went
out for Chinese food with some friends and came back with some leftovers.
He told me to try one of the things he brought back, saying it was the best
thing he had ever eaten in his live. It was deep fried shrimp. He was
eating up the rest of them the next day and my older brother told him that
shrimp live on dead bodies. He didn't finish them and I don't think he eats
them anymore. But that's okay. It helps to keep the price down so I can
afford them.

Indeed... :-)

Like many others, frozen bags of shrimp are a staple item.

Me, personally, I don't care alot for shrimp/prawns/lobster/crawfish. Oddly enough,
though, I do like crab! The only time I really eat shrimp is when we go for sushi,
and I almost always get an order of ebi. It's different than any other shrimp in that
it doesn't have that "snap" when you bite into it...which is the reason I don't like
shrimp most of the time
