I love chocolate y churros in Spain.
But I failed miserably making it at home. I looked at certain websites that showed how to make it but to no avail. Hopefully someone here has successfully made it and can suggest on how to make it. I have mexican chocolate and use cornstarch, sugar, and milk. I could use suggestions on measurements, ingredients, timing, etc. note: i usually make it for just one serving(me!). thanks in advance n |

HOT SPANISH CHOCOLATE
1/2 cup unsweetened powdered cocoa 1 cup sugar 7 tsp cornstarch 1/2 cup water 4 cups milk Mix the cocoa and sugar together. Dissolve the cornstarch in the water and combine with the cocoa-sugar mixture in a medium-sized saucepan. Stir this until it is a smooth paste. Begin heating this mixture, continuously stirring it with a whisk. Gradually pour in the milk. Continue stirring as you bring it to a simmer. Simmer, stirring often, for about 10 minutes. The cocoa is ready when it thickens and is glossy and smooth. The consistency of the finished product should resemble chocolate pudding that didn't quite set. |

Not the same thing - yours is a drink called Mexican hot chocolate. The OP is asking for Hot Spanish Chocolate which isn't a drink. |
