OK, maybe not, but it sure was tasty: polenta cooked fairly firm with
bits of Musgovian pancetta and a bit of M. Jack cheese, and 2
perfectly poached eggs. And a steaming mug of Earl Grey tea with a
smidgeon of half & half.

<happy sigh>

I'm going for a nice long bike ride momentito to work it off :-) It's
cold (about 30F, hey, that's cold for these parts!), but sunny and
clear.

TammyM,

It's a little below freezing around here (Philadelphia). Lots of wind! Wind
chill maybe about 10 F.

I'm a winter wuss. I don't outdoor anything. My rowboat can see me in the
springtime, maybe.

On occasion I'd splash a little cream into my tea. The "inverted mushroom
cloud effect" was extremely pleasing to watch.

Enjoy your ride.

It was perfect. I just thought the pancetta would be nice in the
polenta (and it was...)

Today I road Garden Highway. It was a perfect day. I did about 25
miles. My bod is sore! I haven't done those kind of miles since
last summer!!

I would LOVE that! When it's light (or light-ish) early enough (will
soon be!), I arrive drive at the half-way point to my work at UC
Davis, bike across the causeway to the campus. It's a 20-mile
round-trip ride and is a fabulous way to start/end the day (unless
it's windy, as you say!) In the early summer, I try to do the whole
40-mile round trip commute at least once a week. WHEW does that kick
my backside! I live in Sac, so I often ride the bike trail (which
starts near my home in Natomas). I'd love to ride with you and yours.
How steep is it to the lake? <G> I've done Foxy's a couple of times
which convinced me to buy my super-light Litespeed Vela :-)
