Default Walnut preserves!?

hi all,

i was at my local .99 store recently,
and saw a jar of Walnut Preserves

well, it was in the jam/jelly section,
so i thought it was probably some Walnut jam or jelly spread

i opened it up,
and was surprised to see these big walnut sized pieces,
in a sugary solution [a flavor similar to Maple syrup]

anyway, what do i use these for?
or "how" do i use these?
they are actually young shelled walnuts, i believe

thanks
waterboy

Wet nuts! You put them on ice cream, for one thing.

If these are pickled black walnuts, they can be used in place of
trufflles in omelets or stews... not the same though, different but
still good...Biff
