Hi All,
It is melon season! Easy to prepa all you have to do it cut them open and remove the seeds. They are almost impossible to burn too. What ?!?! No, I have never burned a melon! Note: glycemic load = carbohydrates x glycemic index ÷ 100 Melons, cantaloupe, raw: http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/...-juices/1954/2 1 cup balls 15.6 grams carbs Glycemic Load ~5 Watermelon, raw: http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/...-juices/2072/2 1 cup balls 11.6 grams carbs Glycemic Load ~3 Honeydew, raw: http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/...-juices/1954/2 1 cup balls 16.1 grams carbs Glycemic Load ~4 If you are doing the drug free "ancestral diet" thing, the recommendation for the day is: 15 grams carbs max per meal 60 grams carbs max per day (30 while healing) 10 glycemic load total per day Enjoy! Don't over do it! You can eat a half cup with a load of around 2. -T |
