Default Nick's Thanksgiving

Our daughter, Sai, hosted the backyard event. The weather was perfect. She
made mac & cheese, creamed corn, savory dressing, mashed potatoes with
gravy and canned cranberry sauce. Our oldest daughter, Som, made a roast
turkey, fried pork and egg rolls. Somebody made warm muffins. Pies were
apple, pumpkin and pecan. Eight adults and seven kids from eight months to
ten years old. I had a really good time. I ate some of everything, except
the pie. Plus I had a glass of Pinot Noir. It was all really good! Base BG
was 79. I took a two hour nap, after which BG was 148. When my BG gets down
to 100, I'll start sampling the pies. ;-)

We had ham, mashed sweet potatoes, roasted cauliflower, brussel sprouts,
biscuits, and pumpkin pie. I had some ham roasted cauliflower, and brussel
sprouts. Later I had some pomegranate tea, with cream and Equal. It was just
my hubby and I after he got home from work. After I got home from the
morning stuff, I watched the Raiders lose...again. LOL Sounds like you had a
good one Nick.

Sounds like you and DH had a good time, too, Cheri. I enjoyed being waited
on hand-and-foot and watching the kids. Three hours after that 148, my BG
was down to 74, so I sampled 2 sq. in. each of pumpkin, apple and pecan
pie. Heaven! Two hours later, my BG was 238! Pecan pie is at least 200%
sugar! Even this morning, my FBG was 118. I only had bacon and eggs for
dinner today. Bedtime BG 102.
