I was in the local Asian grocery store today to get some dried mushrooms
and they had a packet of water chestnut flour. It was imported so it didn't have any nutritional information. Does anyone here know anything about water chestnut flour? How does one use it? What's the carb info? TIA, J -- Janet Wilder Bad spelling. Bad punctuation Good Friends. Good Life |

Nutritional Information: Nutritionally, water chestnuts are a good source of potassium and fiber. They are low in sodium, and fat is virtually non-existent. Caloriewise, one cup of water chestnut slices contains about one hundred-thirty calories. Low carb dieters, bewa water chestnuts are high in carbohydrates. You may try replacing them with low carb bamboo shoots. For a half cup, you get about 9g of carbs. http://www.wegmans.com/kitchen/ingre...erchestnut.asp http://www.jtcwd.com/vegie/nutrition/waterchestnut.html |
