Does anybodty here have any experience with this range hood? It's a 400
CFM under cabinet unit, which features "self-clean filterless operation". I have no idea what that means, how it works and really if it works. Thanks for any and all comments. |

You could look up Maytag's customer service phone number. I'll bet 'someone' there could tell you -- Let us know. Dee |

I guess this is similar to the operation of the Zephyr Hurricane, etc. This seems messy to me. So my new question becomes, what is this groups experience with self-cleaning range hoods in general? |

DH and I purchased an ionizer (or ozonator) some years ago - very expensive, but that's what it did, threw all the residues up against the wall. I guess they used this equipment in hotel rooms, but it didn't take long for them to figure out that it was costly washing down walls. I thought there would be no trouble with this even though they said that it only affected rubber. (Lots of my books must've been bound using some rubber.) I'm not much help, but I'm glad you found out how it worked for that particular model. Dee |
