DH and I purchased an ionizer (or ozonator) some years ago - very expensive,
but that's what it did, threw all the residues up against the wall. I guess
they used this equipment in hotel rooms, but it didn't take long for them
to figure out that it was costly washing down walls.
I thought there would be no trouble with this even though they said that it
only affected rubber. (Lots of my books must've been bound using some
rubber.)
I'm not much help, but I'm glad you found out how it worked for that
particular model.
