Default 55 gallon drums

I have seen from a number of sources that these drums new and sealed
are becoming increasingly hard to find, reason unknown. Probabky being
hoarded by the Arabs? However, there are few things that you can build
from them, particularly smokers, barbecues, and wood burning heat
stoves that can't be made better from a discarded gas water heater
tank. They are 3 to 7 times thicker and they seem to breed at the land
fills and back alleys behind super markets where discarding them is
free. They're usually free from the land fills too. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
don't tell or they'll suddenly become expensive. Go get 'em. Be
careful, however, if they are galvanized build a fire in them outdoors
until the zinc is burned off as it creates toxic fumes. Then spry them
with black high temp paint and your set. (They look better too!)
