Default Store brand mesquite lump!

Hi,

My local Randall's keeps surprising me. Now they stock store brand
mesquite lump at $4 for a 10lb bag. They also stock store brand mesquite
and hickory wood chunks. Not bad: A grocery store where you can choose
store brand or brand name mesquite lump!

My hat off to Randall's who also offers untrimmed brisket at $.88 lb
several times a year.

I don't usually "me too", but; me too!

Matthew (3.79 - 5.99 for brisket, and it isn't even kosher)

Yup, that's correct. Safeway took over Randall's. The result is remarkably
good though. Can't help it!

Must be a southern thang? I can buy 'em all day long for $1.28. (Tampa,
Fl)

When I was at Hound's in SA in 2000, I was plum amazed at how cheap and
plentiful brisket was in *all* the stores. There's something to be said for
being a Texan. <G>
