Default Does It Count As Boiling...

if I dropped half a rack of ribs on the ground, beat the wildlife to it, rinsed
it off and threw it back on the grill?

There sure was a lot of steam coming out of the top damper (with the smoke).

No. Thirty second rule applies. Any food that's been on the ground for
less than thirty seconds is considered clean and edible as long as no large
and easily visible chunks of foreign matter cling to it. Wiping on pants is
considered apropos. Close examination is for girlymen.

If it had been on the ground for thirty seconds the wildlife (critters) would
have scarfed it up.
It had leaves all over the one side (everything's covered with leaves in my
yard) so I rinsed them off.

BOB
I even had to "evict" a nest of ants from the K5 (with the fire). They must
have moved in for Jeanne 'cuz they weren't in there last Friday evening.

Evicting ants - trying to boil ribs - I hope you're all done with all
this storming business, Bob.

I dunno. My back yard is fenced in to keep critters out but I would throw the
meat away.

Uh, this same fence keeps my five dogs confined to the back yard during the
day.

I believe the operative parameter is: Did anyone see you do it?

If yes, and you give a damn what they think, make a detour through the
house and throw it back on the grill. Otherwise, just wipe it off and
throw it back on the grill.
