I was in Wal-Mart this evening and spotted a 12 inch probe thermometer that
goes from 50 to 500 degrees. For only...hold your breath... $2.97. The package says it is for testing oil temperatures in a deep fryer. Can these be used to test the air temperature inside of a smoker as well? remove nospam to respond |

It did fine as an oil temp probe, but exposure to the smoke seemed to make it fall apart. On the other hand, for the price you can purchase several. -- Greg Leman Carolina Sauce Company, Inc. http://www.carolinasauce.com A wide variety of sauces and specialty foods over the web. |
