They all have this organization, "Usenet Monster -
http//www.usenetmonster.com", and I cannot figure out a way for Windows Mail
to delete if from there.

I don't know the details, but I just sent a missile off to usenetmonster
about
one of them. Of course I know that there is only one way to deal with
people
that make a habit of ignoring the Golden Rule

Dunno the details, but here's what I do: In the internet headers of the
offending post is a "complaints to" email address. Send to that email
address a copy of both the post itself and the complete internet headers.

The more folks that do this complaining, the better. See those "cmsg
cancel" messages? My best guess is that these are cancellations of the
offenders trying to send out more spam. I have observed that in other
newsgroups whose participants diligently complain that the spam level dies
out very quickly. Of course, like weeds one has to be vigilent in this
complaining.

Only users of the misconfigured AT&T servers see the cmsg's.

I sent off three last night after I got irritated and started exploring
looking for filters. Filters on newsreaders need more uummphh! Not
enough control.

40tude Dialog has the best scoring/filtering mechanism out there. (don't
let the fact that I'm currently posting using Seamonkey fool you <cough> ;-)

I have full boolean logic word/phrase control over both msg header
and full body content. I rarely use it. And the aggravation level at this
time does not warrant it in my book. I will fire off a few complaints
though.

Unlike poor old MI5, this phisherman uses a different nic in each post. And
he's still in the "A"'s!

As a followup to my post, here's an email I just received as a result of my

Hi,

We have been actively working to deal with this recent, aggressive spam
attack and believe that we have finally gotten things under control. Please
check the announcement on our website, http://www.usenetmonster.com, which
states:

"NOTE - May 22, 2009 - Please note that we are aware of the spammer using
multiple accounts across our servers and spamming many text groups! We
believe we have the problem resolved. If you are a new user and wish to be
able to post more than 100 messages a day, please contact
to be whitelisted."

We are continuing to monitor the situation and appreciate reports of any
future spam/abuse should they occur.

Thanks,

Delete all posts from usenetmonster.com. Of course you'll also
killfile TFM, too, but no big loss there.

I'm sure Usenetmonster will shut off this ****er's account shortly
(the spammer, not TFM). They'll be back under a different ISP later
this weekend.

This is extreme but until the spam stops I created a filter where,
is deleted. Looks like all start with the letter A...

I hope nobody here has an A at the start of their sender, that I care
about! LOL
