Sounds like heaven on earth!(and that's coming form a > Texan barbecue purist-whatever that is) Look for the Captain's Quarters team (again) this year. We managed to take the Grand Champion trophy last year, but the competition was stiff from Albemarle C.R.E.W. and Reu's Ribs and this year the Hog Fest is KCBS-sanctioned (last I heard), so 2009 will really require our A- game. If you're in town, I'm staying (where else?) at the Captain's Quarters Inn, but I'll be out at the fairgrounds starting Friday afternoon. Dana |
