Barbecue (alt.food.barbecue) Discuss barbecue and grilling--southern style "low and slow" smoking of ribs, shoulders and briskets, as well as direct heat grilling of everything from burgers to salmon to vegetables.

Look for the Captain's Quarters team (again) this year. We managed to
take the Grand Champion trophy
last year, but the competition was stiff from Albemarle C.R.E.W. and
Reu's Ribs and this year the Hog Fest
is KCBS-sanctioned (last I heard), so 2009 will really require our A-
game. If you're in town, I'm staying
(where else?) at the Captain's Quarters Inn, but I'll be out at the
fairgrounds starting Friday afternoon.

Will look for you. Hopefully this year I will remember to check my calendar, so
I remember to go.
