Default Water in a Wine Kit

I've only made a kit wine once before and have purchased another to give
it a go again. I have a kit to make shiraz. I have to add lots of water
to the juice concentrate from reading the instructions. I am leery of
using tap water. Here in Las Vegas, NV the tap water is not that great
tasting IMHO. Will it affect the taste of the finished wine? Would
using store bought distilled water make a difference?

I went to the store and tasted all the spring waters till I found one I
liked. Now I buy it in gallon jugs. I think the water taste is
important.
