I have a friend who was recently put on a medication and he was told that he
can't drink any alcohol. I was thinking trying to remove the alcohol from a few bottles of my wine for him. Is there any trick to this? I would imagine that just heating the wine to the boiling point of ethanol would work. How long do I have to keep it at that temp? Also, what might I expect in terms of flavor? Is this a waste of time? Lee |

Is this a waste of time? If you used vacuum, at room temperature, to remove alcohol you _might_ get something that's palatable. Otherwise, I'd recommend you forget the whole idea or just go buy Arial. Boiling off the alcohol will ruin the wine. Tom S |
