Default Buying grapes

I would like to buy some fresh grapes this season. Not sure what kind but
am thinking maybe Pinot Noir. I am not a real tannin fan but like light
fruity dry red wines. I am looking at making about 15 gallons. I live in
Phoenix Arizona and can travel to CA if necessary. I assume they will be
ready sometime around October but do you need to place orders earlier? Any
recommendation on a type of grape?
