Non-Traditional Bottles
Before the Verizon Usenet window closes on Sept. 30:
Aside from tradition & aesthetics, and with proper scrupulous sanitation, might there be any good reasons NOT to use grolsch swing top beer bottles for wine instead of buying splits ? I have plenty of 750's, but sometimes I'd rather open a split than have half a bottle sit on the countertop for a day or 3. I have plenty of grolsches inactive in the homebrew corner of the basement and it seems to me IIRC that doing a case of splits became tedious & a PITA for the return on corks, capsules & labor. All opinions & suggestions welcome & appreeshed. regards, bob |

Yup. Been doing it for years. No problem. Store upright.
