Default 1997 Teofilo Reyes Ribera del Duero

I found a bottle of Teofilo Reyes Tempranillo Ribera Del Duero in my orphan bin last night and opened it with grilled hanger steak. Deep red with faint bricking at the rim. Spicy, dusty nose of plum and wild red rasperry. Medium weight, smooth and surprisingly fresh fruit. Black cherry, plum and berries with a decided herbal note of rosemary. Well resolved tannins on a low acid frame make for a pretty lush wine. Really nice stuff. "B+"

Small World. Had a bottle of that night before last with grilled flank steak. Sounds like mine was a little more tannic than Bi!!'s, with a very attractive cedary quality to blend with the fruit. Very nice wine. At least B+.
