Default 2010 Aubert "Lauren" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Opened with a warm chicken salad last night. Very very pale gold in
the glass with a slight cloudiness. Nose of flowers and lemon zest.
Initially the wine was almost shockingly rich on the palate and it
made my wince it wa so over the top with fruit. I went back to the
wine in about 30 minutes and it had become a really tasty melange of
fruit and minerality with a nice backbone of acid that I couldn't stop
drinking it. It reminded me very much of a Batard with a striking
clay-like mineral and lemon curd profile. "A"
