As long as it was stored at a relatively constant cool temperature it should be fine. However the only way of knowing is to open it up and give it a taste. Let us know what you think of it. Tim |

Sediment forms in the creation of all wines. The winemaker uses a variety of techniques to lessen how much of it goes into the bottle but unless they outright filter it (which people contend has it's own problems), some always gets in the bottle. The sediment doesn't taste all that great itself, but it really doesn't affect the rest of the bottle. A host will decant wine with sediment to preclude it from inadvertantly being dumped into a guest's glass, but when it's just family we just deal with it. |
