Default TN: 1989 Petit Village

Tonight we had some venison with a 1989 Petit Village. The wine was very
good, but needed some more time. The wine was very astringent when it was
first opened. It was drunk 45 minutes later. The wine tasted of
blackberries and currants. The wine also tasted of the gravelly soil of
Pomerol. I do not know how to describe that taste, but many Pomerols have
it. This will be a very good wine in a few years. Luckilly this was the
first bottle of the 1/2 case I bought a while ago.
