Default Was this Bret?

I have never knowingly had Bret in my wine. tonight I opened a bottle
of George DuBeouf Fluerie Ch des Deduits. Poured a little in the glass
gave it a swirl and ugh not corked but nasty. It cleared a bit with
heavy swiring but in the end I did not, could not, finish the bottle.
My wife was amazed she didn't think it possible! I am not sure what
"banyard" smells, tastes like, but this was very weird and had some of
what I might think of as banyard- that is sufficiently disgusting a
discription :-(
