Hi everyone, I'm new to the group and excited to be part of the
discussions. I love exploring wines and small boutique wineries. I'm planning a fall wine tasting trip in the southwest. Any suggestions on must visit wineries. |

Their "winery" is a tasting room set in an industrial park, but their wines more than make up for the lack of ambience. Mark Lipton -- alt.food.wine FAQ: http://winefaq.cwdjr.net |

And if you are talking about the Canadian southwest, you might try Quail's Gate, Laughing Stock, Black Hills, Burrowing Owl and Osoyoos in the Okanagan valley. |

Don't get politics in here. There's no wine in Austria's Southwest -- unless you take Südtirol/Alto Adige as Austria's Southwest ;-) M. |

Then, in the SW of Sweden, there is the Nangijala winery - high prices,
questionable quality - a definite winner Cheers Nils |

Fritz Wieninger and Rainer Christ, both located in the Northwest of the city on the left bank of the Danube, are the other two. M. |

The volcanic soil of that area and the warmer climate of Baden in southwestern Germany is pretty favourable for Pinot Gris which the locals call Grauburgunder. Anders |
