Default [TN] 2006 Henry's Drive Shiraz

This wine was a gift from someone -- my group most likely though I don't
actually recall -- and we opened it tonight because Jean needed a low
acid wine for a sensitive stomach.

nose: initially, berryish fruit, turning smoky later
palate: a hint of acid, smooth tannins, thick mouthfeel (15% ABV)

Better than expected, this wine was fairly appealing in a soft, fruity,
low acid kind of way. Hard to imagine what food would pair well with it
(maybe grilled meat?) but it made for a decent digestif.
