Anyone here know where to get those large round tulip wine glasses
that I see professional wine tasters use at wine tasting meets? (Me being somewhat of a newbie) The ones I use are little dinky tulips which totally suck. I cant seem to find them anywhere. Can some one kindly direct me to a site with large nice wine glasses. Hopefully not tooooo expensive. Apreciate any advice. E.T. |

Here's a link to their catalog--search stemware for what you'd like and can afford. http://www.iwawine.com/ORStore/ecatalog.aspx I've found the Riedel Vinum series to be durable and affordable. The Sommelier are really too big for common use and to my taste, a bit impractical. I've also gotten Spiegelau stemware through Amazon--comparable to Riedel and occasionally offered at some very good sales prices. They are not that large though, so I wonder if that is what you mean. I'd advise you try any glass before you buy. Perrsonally I find wines get lost in big glasses, and Riedel Vinum Chiantis are about right sizewise. Not that I am sold on Riedel at all. If you want suppliers, google is your friend. -- Steve Slatcher http://pobox.com/~steve.slatcher |

Glad you're learning, but nobody ever learns all there is to know, about wine or anything else more complex than tic-tac-toe. -- Ken Blake Please Reply to the Newsgroup |
