Default TN: 98 Fleur du Bouard (Lalande de Pomerol)

Friday was steaks with a roasted garlic topping, rotini, and a salad,
the 1998 La Fleur de Bouard (Lalande de Pomerol) was the wine. Smoke,
cocoa, and cassis on the nose, ripe and firm black plum fruit framed
with supple tannins. Gets some espresso aromas. Not for the oak-
averse, but for my tastes a very nice example of a modern RightBank
wine, and the price was pretty decent ($20ish). Day 2 it's soft with
the tannins out of sight, but still tasty with red and black currant
fruit. B+/A-

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent
wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't
drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no
promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency
