Default Vino Nobile quandry

While dining out in Capitola, CA at a quite nice Roman-influenced
trattoria (named Bella Roma Caffe), we had a bottle of a 2001 Vino
Nobile di Montepulciano that was very decent, showing typical Sangiovese
dusty cherry fruit, excellent depth and structure. The problem was that
the name I wrote down in my notes was "Tra[o]velini," and I can find no
sign of any winery by either name on the Consorzio's website, nor can I
find any trace of it on the Web. I know that it was produced by a
member of the Consorzio, as it had the label affixed to the cork, so I
suspect that it may be an export-only label (I remember seeing the name
of an Azienda Agricola someone on the label, too, along with what looked
like a vineyard designation). The wine was imported by Tuttovino of
Richmond, CA (my childhood home town, as it happens), but scant
information about them is available on the Web, either. Push comes to
shove, I'll contact the restaurant for details, but I was wondering if
anyone here had any knowledge of this wine or could point me in the
right direction.

I looked in Burton Anderson's Vino, 1st ed., 1980. this book has a
rather complete index. The closest match I could find was Travaglini.
However Giancarlo Travaglini made a decent Gattinara in the Piedmont.
At the time this book was published, Vino Nobile was in decline, and
only a few of the wines were very exciting. However the situation
there has changed greatly since 1980. Several Vino Nobile wines were
mentioned, but none came close to the name you gave or to any of the
growers mentioned.
